MALTA DEFENCES
BRITAIN ACTING HIGHEST EFFICIENCY ALL-ROUND PROTECTION ISLAND'S IMPORTANCE By Telegraph—Press Associnlion—Copyright (Received April 20, 10.-10 p.m.) LONDON, April 20 The Daily Telegraph's naval correspondent says that the Government is acting to bring the defences of Malta to the highest state of efficiency against all forms of attack, as the island, contrary to Italian reports, is regarded as more important than ever.
