MRS. MOLLI SON'S FLIGHT REPAIRS TO MONOPLANE LONDON, April 19 A dozen people bade farewell to Mrs. Amy Mollison on her departure from Gravesond at 8.45. She was accompanied by her sister, Mrs. Trevor Jones, and a pilot and mechanic. Mrs. Mollison was piloting a sixseater aeroplane which carried an undercarriage and spare parts for the monoplane damaged at Colomb Bechar, North Africa, to which they will fly by easy stages. Mrs. Mollison will return to England in the repaired machine and will make another attempt on the Cape record on May 6. FLIGHT TO AUSTRALIA MELROSE AT SINGAPORE (Received April 20, 8.15 p.m.) SINGAPORE. April 20 The South Australian airman, Mr. C. J. Melrose, who left Lympne, Kent, 11 days ago on ft solo flight to Adelaide, his home town, arrived at Penang yesterday, and left for Singapore at dawn to-day. He arrived here at 10.15 a.m. On arrival he said his flight so far had been uneventful. Before he left England, Mr. Melrose stated that he intended to keep watch for signs of Sir Charles Kingsford Smith and Mr. T. Petliybridge, who were lost between India and Singapore late last year.
