BARTON'S TEAM MAY kEMAIN IN MELBOURNE [IIY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] DUNEDIN, Sunday The Dunedin owner Mr. G. J. Barton has left on a Hying'visit to Melbourne to make arrangements for his horses trained there, by S. G. Ware. Some of the young members of the team have important engagements at the Australian spring meetings, and it is not likely that they will be brought back to New Zealand, but some of them may bo sent under the hammor. Gold Fox, who brought about the disqualification of Ware and W. Jenkins, the jockey, was considered the worst horse in the team taken to Australia. SOUTHERN JUMPERS • LIKELY ELLERSLIE VISITORS [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] DUNEDIN. Sunday Royal Limond is now a very different horse' from what ho was a year ago. At Riverton he went at his fences without being hunted into them, and he also galloped more freely than was formerly the case. Royal Limond will very probably try to" win the Great Northern Steeplechase again. Umtali is another Southern steeplechaser whom it is intended to race at the Great Northern meeting.
