ROTORUA NEWS
f . At the progressive croquet tournament which was held by the Rotorua Croquet Club last week. Mrs. E. La Trobe Hill and Mrs. Hesketh were the winners in the A and B sections respectively. The Misses P. and V. St. Clair, of Ranolf Avenue, spent the week-end in Auckland as the guests of their sister, Mrs. Von Sturmer, Takapuna. Mrs. A. Murdoch Smith, of St. Stephen's Avenue, is spending a few days in Rotorua. Mrs. H. E. Goodwin, of Rotorua, has left on a motor tour of the East Cape. Mrs. A. Brown and Miss Jean Pearce, of Fenton Street, have returned from a holiday at the Mount. Mrs. C. Hitchcock, of Pukuatua Street, has left to spend a few days with her mother-in-law, Mrs. Hitchcock, .sen., of Te Kuiti. Mrs. A. F. Budd, of Victoria Street, has left on a motor tour of the South. Mrs. C. Young and Miss C. Young left on Thursday for Auckland, where they will spend a week. Mrs. J. H. Watson, recently of Rotorua and now of Gisborne, is spending a holiday in Rotorua, and is the guest of Mrs. H. Hamilton, of Seddon Street. Mrs. Orton Wallis, of Raglan, who has been visiting Rotorua, has returned. Lady Wavertree, of England, is a visitor to Rotorua.
