DELIVERY OF MAILS

BUSY DAY TO-MORROW ARRIVALS FROM OVERSEAS Owing to to-day being a holiday the Postal Department will be kept exceptionally busy to-morrow delivering mail which has accumulated at the Chief Post Office since the last delivery was made in the city and suburbs on Saturday morning. In addition to the letters forwarded from South and also letters posted locally since Saturday, the postal deliveries to-morrow will include 730 bags of mail from overseas. The Monowai arrived from Sydney last evening with 259 bags of Australian mail for Auckland, including an Empire air mail, which was despatched from London on March 21. The Koyal Mail liner Aorangi will arrive from Vancouver this morning with 1552 bags of English and American mail, including 471 bags for Auckland. The southern portion of the mail will be despatched by the Main Trunk expresses to-day and the remainder will be all sorted ready for delivery by postmen to-morrow. Another large overseas mail will reach Auckland this week. The Matson Line steamer Mariposa, which- will arrive from Los Angeles on Friday morning, has 1083 bags of English and American mail for Now Zealand.
