STRUCK BY CAR
AUCKLANDER INJURED ENGINE LEFT IN GEAR [from our own correspondent] TAURANGA, Sunday Miss Phyllis Boag, of Point Chevalier, Auckland, was injured yesterday afternoon while alighting from a car in Fifth Avenue. It appears that the car was left in gear, and when the engine was started the vehicle shot backward, knocking Miss Boag down. A wheel passed over her left shoulder and neck, fracturing the collarbone and causing abrasions and bruises to her neck and face. Miss Boag was removed in a St. John ambulance to hospital.
