CLUB MEETINGS
An afternoon meeting was held by the Mothers' Club of the Y.W.C.A. on Tuesday. Mrs. W. J. Hvnes presided. A report was presented from the jubilee committee of the Y.W.C.A. in which were enumerated various proposed activities. It was stated at the meeting that the first report of the association was made in 1886. A sale of work was held later in the afternoon at which were sold the articles made in connection with the thrift competition, with profitable results. Tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Briggs and Sharp. The Progressive Club of the Y.W.C.A. met recently when an address was rciven by Mrs. Price, senior secretary of the association. Mrs. Rawlev reported on the activities of the National Council of Women. Hostesses were Mesdames Ganghan, Neels and Haywood. At a recent social evening items were given bv Mr. Crowder's junior string band, Miss D. Dreaver, who recited and a number of young performers who gave songs and national and fancy dances. Supper was served by the committee.
