COUNTRY COMPETITIONS TE AROHA CLUB TITLES CHAMPIONSHIPS COMPLETED [BY TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT] TE AROHA. Wednesday The annual club championships of the To Aroha Tennis Club were completed today. A high standard of play was maintained throughout the tournament. J. W. II awes in particular striking form sufficiently to carry of! three of the men's titles. Among the ladies. Mrs. W. R. Lawrence again won the singles championship. Detailed results are:— Men's Championship Singles.—A grade: Hawes beat Lewis, if—6, 6—o, 7—5. 2—6. 6—4. KEANE BANNER CONTEST [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] MATAMATA, Wednesday The Matamata A tennis team defeated Te Wlietu in the final match for the Kesne Banner, by 10 matches to 6. To Whetu had held tho trophy for the past three seasons.
