QUEEN CARNIVAL
A grand procession in connection with the Ponsonby Queen Carnival will be held to-day from Grey's Avenue to Three Lamps, Ponsonby. The Ponsonby Boys' Band and Balmoral Boys' Band will be in attendance. There will be a mock court at 8 p.m., when the proceedings should be highly amusing, and numerous side-shows have been arranged. The progress of voting for the queens will be announced every 15 minutes until 10.30 o'clock and the result will be, announced at 11 o'clock. Much trouble has been taken to make the proceedings a success and a gbod evening's entertainment ig assured*
