TAURANGA NOTES
A garden party was held recently at the .homo of Mrs. G. Norris, Gate Pa, the proceeds being in aid of the women's institute funds. The weather was ideaf and attracted a large attendance. Competitions and treasure hunts were heldi, and also a novel shawl parade in whirl) were shown some exquisite old Paisley. Indian, Chinese and lace shawls. The ladies who paraded included:—Mrs. Baker, Mrs. Merriman, Mrs. Hen wood, Mrs. McLaren, Mrs. Bannatyne, Mrs. Norris, Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. Pattia, Mrs. Pemberton, Miss Bannatyne, Miss B. Merriman, Miss McLaren and Miss Cuilen. Mrs, K. J. Rennie is visiting Auckland. t . Mrs. Heetotr Clarke, of le Wairoa, has returned from a month's holiday in Auckland. Mrs. M. .Cotnghlan and Miss Ngaire Coughlan are spending a holiday at Taupo. ? Mrs. P. G. Doherty, Cameron Road, has returned from a visit to Auckland. Mrs. Greenslrields and Miss Greenshields, of Cheshire, England, have left on a fishing trip to Mayor Island.
