TRAVEL CLUB TEA
An interesting time was spent in the Milne and Choyce Reception Hall yesterday, when the weekly morning tea of the Auckland Travel Club was held. There were two speakers, Mrs. Milne Hovey, who spoke on her' recent visit to the United States, and Madame Laurie Alwvn, who explained how life could he made more interesting. The director, Mrs. Victor Macky, was hostess and welcomed the out-of-town and overseas guests. These included: —Mrs. E. P. Fenton (Fiji), Mr. and Mrs. John Barnett (Perth), Miss Tinnoclc (England), Mr. C. V. Brayne (Ceylon), Mr. E. J. Sykes and Miss Joan Sykes (Australia), Mrs. Gilbert MacPhcrson, jun. (London), Mrs. L. Krug (Germany), Mrs. C. M. Tigho (Ireland), Miss Fisher (Vancouver), Miss Broadhurst, Miss Valerie Walsh and Miss Dorothy Dawn (Melbourne), Miss Stapelton (Sydney), Captain and Mrs. Malcolm (Calcutta), Mr. J. Doyle and Mr. and Mrs. A. Travers (Wellington), Miss Elwin Powell (Whangarei), Mrs. Woollams (Wanganui). Mrs. S. A. Gibbs (Nelson), Miss M. Brewer (Christchurch) and Mrs. Beeclwr (Hamilton).
