ACCESS TO BEACHES
"Everything possible will be done to enable townspeople to reach the wonderful stretches of beach this country possesses," said the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple, when discussing the question of improved access to the Oak'ura Beach with members of the Taranaki County Council at Okato. He meutioned the possibility of trains being run at cost on Saturdays and Sundays to enable working people to leave the towns and take recreation which would make the race as sturdy and healthy as possible.
