DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS ADDITIONAL RESULTS [BY TEI.EGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] NEW PLYMOUTH, Tuesday The Grey mouth Municipal Band won the first B grade test in the New Zealand brass bands' contest at Pukekura Park to-night. The Taranaki Regimental Band was second, the Hastings Citizens' Band third, the Wellington Boys' Institute Band fourth and the Waitara Municipal Band fifth. No points were announced by the judge, Mr. A. Baile. The Grcymouth Municipal Band, the judge said, gave an outstanding performance, but some of the bands found the test piece, "Bienzi" (Wagner), too difficult. Results of solo and quartet tests were as follows: — B Flat Cornet. —A. Morton (Auckland Regimental and New Zealand Institute for the Blind Bands), 95 points, 1; W. Stevenson (Woolston), 94, 2; F. Bowes, 93, 3. Quartet. Port Nicholson Silver Band No. 1, 86 points, 1; Woolston No. 1, 85, 2; Woolston No. 2, 82, 3. E Flat or EE Flat Bass Solo.—A. J. Mathewson (Duncdin Artillery Band), 92 points, 1; L. H. Jacobs (Wellington Boys' Institute), 91, 2; H. Buck (Wellington Boys' Institute), V. Abraham (Timaru) and R. Olney (Nelson Garrison), equal, 90, 3. The judge was particularly pleased with this section.
