SEAT ON CITY COUNCIL RETIREMENT PROBABLE [n\" TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION"] WELLINGTON. Thursday An intimation wns made by the Hon. P. Fraser, Minister of Education, to a meeting of the Labour Representation Committee, that since his appointment to the Cabinet it has not been possible for him adequately to carry out his duties as a member of the Wellington City Council, although up to the present ho Itas made every effort to attend to this work. He indicated that ho did not see any likelihood of his being able to remain on the Wellington City Council, and desired the Labour Representation Committee to consider the matter.
