MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED
COLLISION WITH VAN MISHAP AT WESTFIELD Injuries and shock were suffered by Mr. Ervyn J. Koelev, aged 36, married, of Cloverlea Road, Buckland's Beach, as the result of a collision between a motor-van and a motor-cycle he was riding, at Westfield about 7 yesterday morning. The mishap occurred at the intersection of Sylvia Park Road and Great South Road near the northern approach to the Westfield overhead traffic bridge. Mr. Keelev was entering the Great South Road on his motor-cycle when it came into collision with a van driven by Mr. Jack 0. Hamer, of Coronation Road,. Mangere. Mr. Keeley was thrown heavily to the roadway and, after receiving attention from Dr. V. Griffin, of Otahuhu, he was removed to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance. His condition is stated to be not serious.
