WEDDING
STRO N AG H—HAGGITT At the picturesque little Church of the Good Shepherd at Tekapo the marriage was celebrated 011 Thursday of John Frederick Bruce Stronach, son of the late Mr. F. S. Stronach and Mrs. Robert Latter, of Christehurch, and Ruth Graham, elder daughter of Dean P. -B. Haggitt, of Nelson, and the late Mrs. Haggitt. Dean Haggitt conducted the service. The bride, who was given away by Mr. J. G. L. Yernon, was attractively gowned in magnolia satin made with a low cowled neck, and trimmed with a small shoulder-spray of orange blossom. The sash was looped at the back to form two long ends, which fell over the fan-shaped train, which was ruehed at the hem. The beautiful old lioniton lace veil, falling over billowy not, was held back from the forehead by a circlet of orange blossom in a charmingly medieval stylo. She carried a sheaf of lilies. Miss Joan Cottrell was bridesmaid and was dressed in a frock of blue and white floral-patterned ninon over a cream foundation. The sleeves were elbowlength and had a two-tiered cape effect. The trained skirt was caught at the waist with a half sash of taffetas knotted at the back. Her bluo straw hat was wreathed with shaded blue flowers. She carried a bouquet of pale yellow and blue gladioli. The two small flowergirls, Miss Brigit Wills and Miss June Hamilton wore frocks of organdie patterned with tiny blue flowers. The sleeves were puffed and very large. They carried posies of field flowers, and wore wreaths to match. Mr. Graham Haggitt, brother of the bride, was best man.
