KIA ORA COMPANY BASIS OF 10£ D FOR DECEMBER [bv TELEGRAPH —fIWS correspondent] GISBORNfi, Friday. The *\Kia Ora. . Co-operative. Dairy Company, Limited,- has decided to pay out 10£ d per lb. on finest butter-fat supplied during December, compared with 7d a year ago. The payment made last month was also on the basis of 10id. Decernber was the flush month of the season. The flush usually occurs in November, and it is several years since December was the biggest month. Last month's manufacture was greater than for December the previous year. Although the total production for the season so far fs slightly below that for the corresponding period last season, the recent rains have produced renewed growth in the pastures and it is expected that the seasonal decline this year will be slower than during most summers, when dry conditions have been experienced during January. RTJAWAI COMPANY'S INCREASE LOWER LEVEL OF PRODUCTION [by telegraph OWN correspondent] DARGAVILLE. Friday The Ruawai Dairy Company will advance for December supply 9Jd per lb., an increase of 2d on that for December, 1934. Production for the season to date shows a decline of approximately 14 per cent on that of the same period of last year. HIKURANGI DISTRIBUTION TOTAL OF OVER £24,400 [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] WHANGAREI. Fridny The Hikurangi Dairy Company, Limited, will make advance payments to suppliers for December butter-fat on Monday at the rate of 9.Jd per lb. for superfine and 9d per lb. for first grade. These advances will absorb £19,140. For the corresponding month of last year, when the advance was at the rate of 8d per lb. for superfine, the amount distributed was £17,000. the present month's disbursement showing an increase of £2140. The company is also distributing a deferred payment as follows:—June, July and August supplies, 3Jd per lb, which will make the amount advanced for these months 14d. On September supplies a further ljd per lb. will be paid, bringing that month's advance up to 13d. The deferred payment will mean the distribution of £5303, making the total disbursements on Monday £'24,443. The company reports that owing to the very favourable weather experienced recently production has been well maintained.
