PHYSICAL EDUCATION
MOVEMENT IN ENGLAND DEPARTMENTAL ADVICE British Wireless RUGBY, Jan. 15 The Board of Education has issued a circular with the object of assisting local authorities and others in framing a comprehensive plan of physical education, suited to the needs of various areas. The board regards it as a matter of national importance that more consideration should be given to the development of facilities for physical training and games among young people who have left school. However, it states .that any imitation of tho centralised methods in use in some Continental countries would be altogether inappropriate. Each area must build up an organisation best fitted to its own local circumstances. The main directions in which the present system calls for improvement and expansion are set out in the circular. They include the appointment in every area of an adequate number of men and women organisers to advise upon and co-ordinate the development of the provision of physical activities for school children and young people generally.
