RUDYARD KIPLING
SLIGHT IMPROVEMENT ANXIETY STILL FELT LONDON. Jan. 15 The condition of Mr. Rudyard Kipling. who underwent an operation in the Middlesex Hospital in consequence of a perforated stomachic ulcer, shows a slight improvement to-day. The anxiety concerning tho condition of Mr. Kipling, however, continues. Early this morning it was stated that he had had a quiet Tiight, and a bulletin recorded that his condition showed a slight improvement, which was maintained to-day. The King and Queen are being kept informed as to the progress of the patient.
