SHEEP FROM EAST COAST
A FURTHER SHIPMENT [BY TELEGRAFH —OWN* CORRESPONDENT] TAURANGA. Thursday The steamer Pakura discharged 2321 sheep here this morning from Tokomaru Bay. They were railed to Morrinsville. This is the fourth trip of the Pakura. which, with the Margaret W., will make about thirty trips during the season with sheep from East Coast bays and Gisborne to Tauranga. Stock casualties by this method of transport arc remarkably low. Of 2321 sheep transported on this trip there was only one death. The handling facilities provided by the Tauranga Harbour Board have answered very satisfactorily and give rapid despatch of livestock.
