MUSIC AND FIGURES
EXAMINER'S MISTAKES NOT TO ACT FOR TWO YEARS Mistakes in simple addition by a university examiner in music have led the executive committee of the New Zealand University Senate to stand him aside for at least two years. The committee reported to the senate yesterday that all entrance examination scripts had been returned to the university office and additions checked in selected scripts in each subject. In the case of music, many errors were discovered, and the committee resolved that the examiner should not act again before 1938. The committee also mentioned that the 1933 French scripts had been remarked and two additional candidates had been passed.
