MISSING GIRL
NO TRACE YET FOUND SEARCHERS COVER WIDE AREA [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] WHANGAREI, Tuesday . Search by about 100 settlers and police throughout to-day revealed no trace of Mary Agatha Jagger, aged two years, daughter of Mr. H. H. Jagger, a farmer, of Waiotu, about 22 miles from Whangarei, who mysteriously disappeared a few days ago. The little girl vanished when playing in company with some other children at the residence of Miss L. Johnson, about two miles from her home. Portions of clothing and shoes belonging to the child wefe found shortly afterward but no further clues were discovered. An area of about 1000 acres has been combed since the search began. To-day dragging operations were carried out in several streams, but the efforts were of no avail. The search will be continued tomorrow.
