EVENTS AT TAURANGA [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] TAURANGA, Monday The half-yearly competition between tho To Puke and Tauranga fire brigades for tho Tim and Ru Cup ' was held at To Puke. Tho Tauranga team was successful in retaining tho trophy, winning three events to Te Puko's ono. Results:—One-man event: Te Puke (Fireman K. Dunlop), 1; Tauranga (Fireman M. Hartnett), 2! Two-men event: Tauranga '(Deputy-Superintend-ent F. Bickers, Fireman J. Downey), 1; Te Puke (Firemen K. Dunlop and W. Keleher), 2. Three-men event: Tauranga (Deputy-Superintendent F. Bickers, Firemen J. Downey and M. Hartnett), 1; Te Puke (Firemen K. Dunlop, W. Keleher, C. Howell), 2. Four-men event: Tauranga (DeputySuperintendent F. Bickers, Firemo"n J. Downey, M. Hartnett, P.
