STOLE BENZINE DRUM
Two labourers* Hugh Albert Saunders and Murray Sloan Russell were charged in the Onehunga Police Court yesterday before Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., with the theft of a benzine drum valued at 10s Both pleaded guilty. Sergeant S A. Brown said that at 6.46 a m. last Tuesday /the njghtwatchman on the Onehunga Wharf detected the accused in the act of carrying off the drum, and they wore subsequently arrested by Constable L. R. Morgan. Accused pleaded that they had been having a hard time lately. Kach was fined £1 and costs, in default seven days' imprisonment.
