POST-BOXES OPENED
FURTHER OFFENCES THEFTS IN THE SUBURBS Seven post-boxes in various parts of Auckland were found early yesterday morning to have been forced open, in addition to the three in the Epsom district which were tampered with late on Sunday night. Last night another box, at tho corner of Surrey Crcscejit and Richmond Avenue, Grey Lynn, was discovered to bo broken. In each case tho lock had been smashed, and it is thought likely that a largo number of letters has been stolen. Tho thief who was operating on Sunday night apparently had tho uso of a vehicle, enabling him to cover a largo area in a short time. Ho operated in the Onehunga, Grey Lynn and Ponsonby districts as well as jn Epsom.
