ACTIVITIES AT EPSOM SILVER WATCH PLEASES A GOOD TWO MILES EFFORT

A Round two miles b,v Silver Watch was the main feature of the training work at Epsom yesterday morning. Conditions were unpleasant owing; to a stiff breeze and heavy showers. The dirt I rack was in good order. Assisted by Cherrill (J. Mahoney) as a galloping pacemaker Silver Watch (L. J. Mahoney) worked soundly over two miles in 4.42. lio went leisurely for the iirsfc few furlongs, but ran tho last mile and a-half in 3.27. He revelled in his work and, finishing in splendid style, clocked 1.5 for tho last half.
Young Rodney (G. Bodman) trotted usefully over two miles, stepping solidly for tho last six furlongs at a 2.30 gait. Autumn Lou (G. H. Stubbs) was allotted a similar flask, hut. was not asked to go faster tlian a 2.32 gait for the final lap. Real Red worked a steady milo and a-half, the last half in 1.15. Good Display By Elissa
Lynn Worthy (E. S. Groat) went away from the mile and a-half, two seconds ahead of Elissa (W. T. Dye), who finished well clear to register 2.28 for tho last mile. Elissa pulled hard early, but went freely for the last six furlongs, the final half showing 1.12. Lynn Worthy ran the last mile in 2.31, tho last half in 1.13 3-5.
Guy Leo (C. G. Lee) and Bingen Sun (G. Webb) set off to run a mile and a-half, but before going half-a-milo the hitter's reins broke and he was pulled up. Guy , Bingen was not troubled to trot the last mile in 2.37. Bingen Sun was given another task alone, and, trotting very solidly, ran the milo and alialf in 3.50 3-5. The middle half in 1.14 was his best section.
Brown Betty (G. Cole) ran a mile in 2.30, anil although she bored out on tho bends, came home the last-half in 1.12. Charteris Bay was Riven sev-> oral rounds at tho trotting gait..He was first trained at this gait and will do his next racing as a trotter. Pink Lady (J. Paton) was worked in saddle, but except for a short sprint in the straight, was not asked for speed. The roan mare looks well after a good spell. Youngsters Perform Well Gold Pointer (G. Bodman) the Gumdigger—Lady Doris filly (D. O. Jones) and Gumdigger—Nellie Bramley colt (\V. Willetts) were associated over two laps, the last-named finishing just in front to run the last mile in 2.31 3-5, the List half in 1.14 3-5. .The three young horsey all paced resolutely. Moko Girl (W. T. Dye) and Lady Huia (J. Hibbert) trotted usefully over two miles, the former being under restraint all the way. Lady Huia is by The Triumph from Huia Bell, and is a solid-looking mare. June Nordica (S. M. August) was not fully extended while working over three laps. Lucky Love (J. Peters) was given a steady free-legged tasSk in saddle and looks in fine order for more serious work.
The Great Parrish—Flip colt (G. Paton) paced neatly over three circuits. Ho is a well-developed three-year-old and is well bred, his dam being an Australian mare by Ribbonwood. Paton also gave Triljndo, by The Triumph from Rita Golindo, steady work. Worthy Nor (P. M. Morrison) was not bustled at any stage of two miles, but put some dash into a sharp sprint home.
Strong work was done by Realty, Agnes 13ingen, Grey Mist, Nimbus. Blandford, Wee Machine, Nellie Bramley, Great Chum, Auto Machine and Argolis.
