MOTORIST KILLED
CAR FALLS FROM BRIDGE THREE COMPANIONS ISSCAPE [BT TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION! : NEW PLYMOUTH, Sunday A married man, Mr. Robert Milton Lake, aged 30, was killed this morning when a car he was driving ran off a Tailless bridge near Mahoenui. Mr. Tom ltuki, a companion, who was badly cut about the face and. head, was sent to the Te Kuiti Hospital. Two other companions escaped lightly. ' The accident happened eaxlv in th» morning when the party was returning 1 home after a concert. The car dropped about 15 feet and landed on its hood in shallow water. Three of the occupants were able to scramble out, but Mr. Lake was found dead, pinioned by the steering column.
Mr. Lake was a farmer of Mahoenui and is survived by his wife and several children.
