DAY WITH THE HOUNDS
FINAL MEET OF THE SEASON GOOD SPORT AT TE PUNA [BT TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT) TAURANGA, Tuesday The Tauranga ward of the Rotorua and Bay of Plenty Hunt Club's final meet of the season was held at Waikaraka. Te Puna, when splendid hunting was enjoyed by a large following of riders, including several from Te Puke, Rotorua and Paeroa. Many enthusiasts in cars also watched the sport from vantage points along the road. Several excellent runs wore witnessed during the afternoon. . and hounds worked well. Afternoon tea was served at the residence of Miss Snodgrass. Mrs. S. G. Willcock, on behalf of the Hunt Club, thanked all those who had helped to revive interest in bunting in Tauranga, and the fanners who had so generously thrown open their properties. Cheers were given for Miss Snodgrass and ladies who had assisted in providing refreshments.
MEET AT PAENGAROA MANY VISITORS PRESENT [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT! TE PUKE. Tuesday There was a good muster of members at tho final meet of the Te Puke ward of the Rotorua and Bay of Plentv Hunt Club at Paengaroa yesterday. Visitors were present from Rotorua. Tauranga. Whakatanc. Otamarakaii and Papamoa, The hunt went over the properties of Messrs. J. Ball. I. Vercoe and Matthews Brothers. Although no kill was made, a very enjoyable day was spent. Afternoon tea was served at Mr. Vercoo's.
