COMMITTEES DISBANDED
PAPAKURA TOWN BOARD SOLUTION OF DIFFERENCES A decision was made by the Papak«ra Town Board last evening to disband all committees and meet once a month as a committee to attend to all matters formerly dealt with by the committees. The matter was introduced following the action of a member of the works committee, Mr. H. D. Spinley, in tendering his resignation from that committee. Mr- Spinley said he had been a member of the board and of the works committee for nearly a year, but he was greatly dissatisfied with the manner in which the working of the committee was carried on. His resignation was accepted on the motion of Messrs. G. W. Kerr and G. F. McDonald. Mr. Kerr said ho had no confidence in the works committee, and he considered a thorough inquiry should bo made into a number of its actions. The chairman, 3Jr. H. E. McKntee, in moving the motion to disband all committees said he considered it was the only solution if members of them could not work amicably together. He felt, in regard to the works committee, that there uere faults on both sides. All the affairs of the board were the concern of all the members of the board, but unfortunately sonic members concerned themselves with only certain sections of the work and had regarded it as their own special prerogative. The niotiou was carried without a division.
