DANCE AT HUNTLY
The Huntly branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union held its annual ball in tho Huntly Town Hall on Thursday night. A wellorganised committee of ladies had made every effort to ensure the success of tho function, and the hall was decorated with festoons of green and lemon coloured streamers. The floor arrangements were supervised by Mr. A. Carlton, while Mr. J. Douglas had charge ot cards in the supper room for non-dancers. The winners of novelty dances were as follows: —Miss Deakin and Mr Rollinson, Mrs. Pawson and Mrs. Callaghan, Miss Sefton and Mr. Hyde, Miss Lanigan and Mr. Pike, Miss C. Brown and Mr. Mason. The most successful card players were:— Ladies: Mrs. Elliott, 1; Mrs. Toare, 2. Gentlemen: Mr. Brooks, 1; Mr. Taly, 2. Among those present wero:—Mrs. E. Tait (president), Mrs. D. Fleming (secretary), Mrs. J. Bate (treasurer), Mrs. A. Carlton, Mrs. Thompson (Rangiriri), Mrs. J. H. Fnrniss (Ruawaro), Mrs. A Ashley, Mrs. I). G. Mason (Ohinewai), Mrs. Larwood, Mrs. J. T.
