BAYSWATER-BELMONT
Tho Bayswater-Belmont Women's Society held its monthly meeting at tho clubhouse, Bayswater, Mrs. R. T. Reid presiding. Mrs. Hedda Dyson was the speaker for the afternoon. In her address she described vividly some of the conditions in which women of the world are living and'working. Special reference was made to the island of Sumatra, where some of the native tribes still live under a system of matriarchy. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Bach, Kennedy and Braund. An exhibition of watercolours was given by Mrs. HarrisonSmith.
