RUAWAI WATER SUPPLY
ARTESIAN FLOW LOCATED CONTRACTOR SELECTS SITE [BY TELEGRArH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] DARGAVILLE, Monday When the grant made by the Government to the Otamatea County Council to assist in the cost of locating an adequate water supply for Ruawai was expended without the discovery of artesian water, the contractor, Mr. W. A. Carter, offered to continue on a "no water, no pay" basis. He has been working on this basis for some weeks past on Mr. T. E. Donovan's property at Tokatoka, a sito chosen by himself. This morning ho had the satisfaction of striking a flow which gavo an output of 1000 gallons a minute. Considering only a liin. pipe was in use, Mr. Carter considers tho strike very satisfactory and that the prospects are bright for future operations.
