CITY AMALGAMATION
Sir, —The ideals of His Worship t Mayor regarding the amalgamation the City Council with those of surroun ing boroughs have not been very syi pathetically received judging by the i marks by the Mayor of One Ti Hill, to mention just one. I feel the id must sooner or later catch on—thou, perhaps in a more modified form. Abo thirteen years ago the Greater Sydn scheme was set afloat by the Sydn City Council, but it has not borne fri yet, for the reason, chiefly, that si rounding municipalities saw in it b little more than a glorified City Cod oil. It should not be necessary for city council to swamp all surroundi councils. Why not have representath of all the surrounding councils sitti at the deliberations of the central bod Prf.ston Boorman.
