MILK ACT AMENDMENTS
Sir, —In connection with the requ of the Auckland Fresh Milk Produc and Vendors' Association to be given opportunity to be heard in opposition the proposed Milk Act amendments, P. Welsh expresses surprise that C'ity Council should refuse to hear tl side, especially having heard the M Council's side of the question, which almost universally objected to, but approved by the City Council anc few other suburban councils, who h acted in an entirely autocratic man by ignoring the ratepayers and c sumers whom they are supposed to present. It is certainly not the prero tive of local bodies to approve or < approve of the amendments, but it is prerogative of the consumers. R. L. Preston
