TRIBUTE TO HOBSON
CEREMONY AT GRAVESIDE The 11th annual ceremony of paying tribute to the memory of Captain William Hobson, the iirst Governor of New Zealand, will take place at the graveside in the Svmonds Street Cemetery at two o'clock this afternoon. The ceremony has been arranged by Mr. Spenceley Walker, headmaster of the Newton Central School. The Mayor, Mr. Ernest Davis, and Mr. Walker will address the gathering and the Rev. A. B. Chap* pell, president of the Auckland Historical Society, will speak on the life of Judge Maning, whoso grave is nearby.
