VISITING ARTISTS
MISS CLARKE'S NEW ROLE An unusual and interesting occupation for a woman, that of entrepreneur to famous artists, has been chosen by Miss Madeleine Clarke, who arrived in Auckland yesterday by the Wanganella. This is the fifth tour Miss Clarke has made of New Zealand, having piloted such well-known artists as William Backhauls, Mischa Levitzki and John Brownlee. She is now managing on her own account and is the first woman to visit New Zealand in this capacity. Miss Clarke has come to make arrangements for the visit of Madame Muriel Brunskill, who is recognised as one of the greatest English contraltos, and who will give two performances in Auckland.
