ROTARY LUNCHEON

CLUB'S FORUM AT ROTORUA The weekly luncheon of the Auckland Rotary Club was' held in Milne and Choyce's Reception Hall yesterday There was an attendance of 130 members and visitors, and Mr. J. P. O'Connor presided. An announcement was made by Mr. O'Connor that there were indications that the club's forum to 'oe held at Rotorua on September. 26 and £7 would, attract Rotarians from all parts of the North Island. He was confident that gatherings of this nature would go a long way toward establishing friendships, which the Governor of Rotary in New Zealand, Dr. Stanley Foster, was so. keen upon. The speaker at the luncheon was Mr. S. Reid, general manager of Wilsons •(N Z.) Portland Cement, Limited, who chose as his subject "Cement Manufacture." Visiting Rotarians were Mr. W. Sinclair (Sydney), Mr. L. J. Taylor (Christchurch), Mr. H. H. Newton (Wellington), and Mr. W. Frnser (Hamilton). The following visitors were present:—Mr. H. G. Miller and Mr. C.
