CHURCH ANNIVERSARY
HOLY SErULCIffiE PARISH SPECIAL SERVICES HELD SOCIAL FUNCTIONS ARRANGED Special services to commemorate the seventieth anniversary of the opening of the original Church of the Holy Sepulchre were held at the present church in Khvber Pass Road yesterday. There were particularly large 'congregations at both morning and evening services. Archdeacon Mac Murray preached in the morning, and the vicar of tho church, the Rev. J. E. Draper, preached at the evening service. At the 11 a.m. service there was a dedication of gifts made to the church on the occasion of the anniversary. Various social functions will be held during the week. A reunion tea in the parish hall on Tuesday night will bo attended by many old parishioners in addition to members of tho present congregation. Parishioners and their friends will bo entertained at a danco in the hall on Wednesday night, while the Mothers' Union will entertain daughter unions at a function to bo held on Thursday afternoon. On Friday there will bo a children's fancy dress party. Further thanksgiving services will bo held on Sunday. The Rev. E. C. Good will conduct the 11 a.m. service and Archbishop Averill will preach in tho evening.
