RIFLE SHOOTING
AUCKLAND CITY CLUB The final shoot in the winter service programme was held by the Auckland City Defence Rifle Club on Saturday, the practices being five rounds application, ten rapid and ten snap-shooting at 300 yds. A number of Auckland and Mount Albert Grammar School boys took part. I. J. Spry won Mr. A. Soinmerville's trophy and the spoon allocated for Saturday's competition. WHANGAREI MINIATURE CLUB [from our own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Saturday The Wliangarei Miniature Rifle Club held a shoot last evening, when the semi-final stages for the R. T. Tudehope trophy were reached and the J. Norris competition was advanced another stage. The winner of the weekly trophy was i«. Itenton. In the A grade Buckley Rooster competition A. Higgins, 100, defeated M. K. Stewart, 99. The following team has been selected to represent the club in a postal match against the Invercargill Club, to be fited on Tuesday evening:—M. K.
