CONTESTS ON SATURDAY CHAMPIONSHIP RACES HELD AUCKLAND CLUB'S EVENTS Tho junior championship of tho Auckland Cycling Club was sleekled on Saturday at Panmuro in showery weather. The seniors held a 25 miles handicap and the ladies a 6J miles event for a shield presented by Mr. K. Flanagan. Good fields competed. AUCKLAND LADIES* CLUB The Auckland Ladiea' Amateur Cycling Club conducted a four-lap race at Mount Albert on Saturday. Miss Hazelle Storeswon comfortably from the 50s mark in 13m 21s. Miss Violet Bnird was second with fastest time in 12m 425. RACES IN THE PROVINCE [from herald correspondents] Huntly.—Tlfb Waikato Amateur Cycling Club conducted an 18 miles time trial and sealed handicap on Saturday, the course being from Huntly to Ngaruawahia and return. The result was:—C. Bryant, 47m 36s (2m), 1; R. Norman, 47m 39s (scr), 2; G. Bryant, 49ir. 6s (10m), 3. it. Norman made the fastest time. There were nine starters. Hamilton.—The Hamilton Amateur Sports Club conducted a road race from Hamilton East to Bank's Corner, Cambridge Road, and back, a distance of 19 miles, on Saturday afternoon. The weather was fine. The result was: J. Rodgers, sen., 1; B. Shaw, 2; L. Campbell, 3. T. Shnw did the distance in the fastest time, 50m 20s.
