COLLISION IN GORGE
MOTOR-CAR AND LORRY [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] OPOTIKI, Friday A five-seater touring car driven by Mr. E. E. Porter, station manager* Tokomaru Bay, while travelling through Waioweka Gorge yesterday, collided with the back of a motor-lorry driven by Mr. J. Serjeant, when about 30 miles from Opotiki. Neither driver was hurt, and the lorry was able to proceed. The car had to be brought by breakdown car to Opotiki. It was damaged extensively, in front.
