WATERFRONT FOG
SHIPPING DIFFICULTIES A dense fog was experienced over the harbour and waterfront yesterday morning and shipping on the harbour had to navigate with caution. The fosc drifted from the westward before a light breeze about two o'clock and gradually developed to a .jonsiderabta area, being very dense' as far as Rangitoto Channel. After eight o'clock a change of wind from the east drifted the fog over the lower part) of the city until it was difficult to see across the streets, and the dampness of the fog made everything very wet. Toward 10 o'clock the fog was dispersed by the sun and afterward ideal weather prevailed.
