The engagement is announced of Marie Pearl Shanks, fifth daughter of Mrs. M. F. Cusack, Grey Lynn, to Lionel Francis (Leo), third son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Henderson, Ponsonby.

The engagement is announced of Doris Daphne, second daughter of Mrs. E. Berry, of Richmond Road, Auckland, to Clarence Nelson, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Taylor, of Clyde Street, Epsom.
