BOYS AT RUAKURA
PRACTICAL LESSONS [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Friday The 30 boys who are undergoing a fortnight's training at the Ruakura State Farm are making the most of their opportunities. The instructors are pleased with the conduct of the boys," who have evinced the keenest interest in the work, and are endeavouring to learn all they can within the short period at their disposal. Very useful work has been done on three mornings .. this week in showing the lads how to plough. A demonstration of fencing-was also given, each boy being instructed in the proper methods. Mr. T. Rodda,, farm manager, gave the boys a lecture on the dairy cow this afternoon. Members of the Hamilton Rotary Club have arranged for the entertainment of the visitors during their spare time. They taken to a picture theatre last evening, and this evening they took part in a programme of athletics at the Y.M.C.A. There will be football to-morrow, and a motor drive on Sunday.
