WINTER SHOW BUILDING

AGRICULTURAL INTERESTS The president of the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association, Mr. S. Austin Carr, in an interview yesterday regarding the provision of a permanent Winter Show building in Auckland, stated: —"The position is that the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association started the winter exhibition in 1907, and in 1921 resuscitated it in conjunction with the Auckland Manufacturers' Association. Owing ito the Auckland Harbour Board sheds not being available in the future, the Agricultural and Pastoral Association has given serious consideration for some time to the finding of a suitable home for the winter exhibition.

"With regard to a circular letter from the Unemployment Board, it is felt that we shall probably get some financial assistance from them. At a meeting, my association, having now a long lease of the Show Grounds, and with the probability of the Unemployment Board's support, set up a committee to confer with the Manufacturers' Association in reference to securing suitable buildings for the winter exhibition."
