WHIRLWIND AT METHVEN

A whirlwind was experienced <i,t Methven last evening and a third of the roof of Newman's stables ard a shop verandah were demolished. An iron shed was lifted bodily, narrowly missing a motor-car travelling on the road. Windows in several premises wero broken by stones.
