TEST CRICKET MATCH

ENGLAND-WEST INDIES LOW SCORES REGISTERED BARBADOS. Jan. S Rain delayed the start of the test cricket match between West Indies and England. The wicket was tricky. Wyatt won the toss and put West Indies in. Three surprise changes were made in the Indies team at the last minute. Fames made the ball ''kick" and Headley alone .made a stand before luncheon, when the score was five for 31, Fames having taken four for 15. Headley continued to be the backbone of the defence and batted for two hours, giving two chances. Generally the English fielding was poor, several catches being missed. The visitors also found the wicket not to their liking. Martindale made the ball rise and dismissed Wyatt and Leyland in the same over. England had lost two for 1G at tea time, and Hammond and Iddon alone were confident.
