LET THEM PLAY
Although your boy or girl may not bo quite up to the average physical standard, they should not on that account alone be debarred from games.
Provided that their health is good there is no reason why they should not take up whatever sport lies within their powers. The only real danger is that while they are growing, and especially round the age of adolescence, extra fatigue may cause strain.
An attempt to produce a young Hercules out of any boy whose whole energies arc absorbed by the process of growth will only end in disaster. Some boys arc physically powerful at all stages of development, but they are the exceptions. ]t is a wise plan to suit the physical training and kind of games to the individual. It is a. mistako to lay down laws for the average and expect everyone to toe the line, no matter ho;v unfitted they may lie.
