WOMEN'S DIVISION
Reports of branches of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union are as
:ollows:
Mangawara.—The branch held a bring-and-buy afternoon, by which it considerably augmented branch funds. A musical programme was supplied by Mrs. Reston and party from Te Kauwhata.
Hamilton. —Mrs. Roebuck presided at a recent meeting. Votes of sympathy were passed witli Mrs. C. K. Wilson on the loss of her husband, and with Mrs. T. Walker, of Morrinsville, on the loss of her father, Sir Henry Buckleton. Musical items were given by Mrs. McLaughlin and her little daughter Jean, and Miss Clarke sang, Mr. Whitehead playing her accompaniments. A good response to the appeal for the Sunshine League was given. Mrs. Judd has resigned her position as housekeeping secretary, and was heartily thanked for her services. It was decided to hold a picnic in February in aid of community chest funds.
Ngahinepouri. —The third birthday party was held recently. Competitions were enjoyed and Mrs. McTntosh made an appropriate address. Afternoon t<-;i was served, the special feature being a birthday cake, the gift of the president, Mrs. J. Rvburn.
Cambridge.—Sympathy was expressed with Mrs. C. K. Wilson in the loss oilier husband. It was unanimously decided to do the catering at the forthcoming show, also to donate a prize in the home industry section. A working bee had been held recently to fill stockings for children on the new small farm settlements. Owing to sickness prevalent among children, not many were present, but small toys and chocolates were sent to members' children under school ago. Afternoon tea brought the meeting to a close. Members went to Mrs. Ray's residence, where a small presentation was made to Mrs. Ray by Mrs. Feisst, on behalf of the Women's Division in appreciation of her services, jn the absence of the president, Mrs. Lambie, owing to ill-health, the rice-president, Mrs. E, C. Willis, presided.,
