CALF CLUB PARADES
WHANGARE! DISTRICT [from our own- correspoxdext] WHANGAREI, Thursday The Whangarei Country Schools' Calf Club parades were held at Matarau Road. Glenbervie. Mangapai and Mata Schools yesterday The parades for most of the other schools will be held to-morrow. . In spite of difficulties and_ the bad weather, the parades indicated that the movement has the substantial support of the teachers, parents and school committees At each of the parades there was a sood attendance of parents. The enthusiasm of the club members was a feature of the parades. In many instances the acholart brought their calves long over •water-logged roads. s&■*:'• - Results were:—Matarau^Road School: Light breed class, Ralph Martin. 106 points. 1: Alison Rushbrook .and Diana Rushbrook (equal). 102 points, 2. Heavy breed f lass: Vera Going, 1; R. Worsnop, 2. Glenbervie: Victor Taylor, 110 points, 1; R< Cotterill, 2. Mangapai: Ivan Walters, 99 pojurts, 1; F. MoConnell, 96 points, 2;' L.
